Our Heart
New Quarter, New Life!
Dear Friends,
Last week, we had the joy of welcoming 67 new students to YWAM Lausanne as we kicked off our April quarter! Alongside our Bilingual DTS (in Korean and English), we launched three Bible Schools, diving deep into the Word of God. As Loren Cunningham often reminded us, YWAM is all about two central passions: Jesus and the Bible.
What makes this quarter especially meaningful is that it aligns with the Easter season, a time when we celebrate the very heart of our faith. There are countless ways to reflect on Jesus’ death and resurrection, and as we opened the quarter with our “Following Jesus” message, we were reminded of the new life He offers us.
This new life has two beautiful expressions we hold closely: A future hope: Because of the resurrection, death no longer has the final word. Jesus’ victory means that injustice, pain, and sin will not define the end of the story. This eternal perspective fuels our mission—many still haven’t heard this hope, and we are called to introduce them to the One who brings it!
Alongside this, there is also A present reality: Jesus chose Passover—a story of deliverance from slavery—as the context for His death and resurrection. It’s a vivid picture of what He does for us today: we are freed from bondage and given new life, now. We don’t just wait for the promise; we live it today, experiencing the fruit of His resurrection in our everyday lives. This affects our gospel message as it offers hope for today and a mission for tomorrow!
This dual reality—hope for eternity and transformation for today—is the foundation of all we do here in our training and ministries. We are thrilled to walk alongside a new group of young people this quarter as they step into the hope-fueled mission Jesus has prepared for them.
As we journey through this holy season, may you be reminded and renewed by the truth of new life—both now and forever.
With love and blessings, Markus, Anita, Emeline, and Jordan

Outreach
A New Chapter in Bible Distribution

As we journey through the exciting launch of the End Bible Poverty Now (EBPN) movement, we're thrilled to share a powerful story from our local outreach here in Lausanne. This past quarter marked a significant milestone for EBPN. In the first three months of this year, 70+ Bibles in 10 different languages were handed out to individuals who are hungry for God’s Word.Â
As our team set out, eager to share the message of the Bible, many people expressed deep gratitude for receiving their own copy of Scripture. For some, it was the first Bible they had ever owned, and the excitement was tangible. As one individual shared, "I have always wanted to read the Bible, but I didn’t know where to start. Now, I can dive into God’s Word for myself."
Each Bible represents a new connection with the local community, a step closer to seeing more lives transformed by the Word of God. The feedback we've received—from tears of joy to words of thanksgiving—reinforces the importance of our mission.Â
We are excited to continue building on this momentum, strengthening partnerships, and increasing our Bible distribution efforts as we work together to bring an end to Bible poverty.  Thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the prayers, generosity, and dedication of our community. We look forward to sharing even more stories of transformed lives as we continue our work through EBPN!
