I am with you

Dear Friends,

Loren Cunningham often spoke of five basic premises of Christianity, five foundational truths from Scripture that shape a biblical worldview. When individuals and even nations embrace these truths, they are transformed into fruitful alignment with God’s design. The first premise is our understanding of who God is. The Bible reveals that God is both personal and infinite. At first glance, these qualities might seem contradictory: power versus love, control versus compassion. Most religions settle for one aspect over the other. Yet the Bible holds both in perfect Union.

One profound expression of this truth is the simple but powerful phrase: “I am with you.” I AM, the Creator, the all-powerful God, is also present in a loving relationship with His creation. When we think of God's presence, our minds often go to worship services, quiet times, or prayer meetings all beautiful ways to experience His nearness. But there is another rich and complementary way to encounter the reality of God with us.

In Jesus’ parting words to His disciples, He gave the Great Commission and concluded with this promise: “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20, NIV). As we live on mission, we come to a deeper awareness of our dependence on God. As we pour out our lives for others, we are filled with His life. God has saved us, not just for our own sake, but to share and display His good news in every sphere of society. As we step out in obedience, we experience firsthand that He is with us, empowering us, working through us, and walking beside us.

Last week, we saw this reality during our Kingdom Come outreach. We invited over 300 people to hear the gospel and encounter a God who longs to be with them. One of the unique joys of this outreach is that it isn’t just a YWAM Lausanne initiative; local believers also join in, sharing their testimonies and praying for the people of our city. As we shared the message of Jesus together, there was a tangible sense of His presence, just as He promised.

May you continue to experience God’s presence as you walk faithfully into the mission He has prepared for you! We may have different mission fields, but the same God and share the same beautiful reality that he is walking with us.

With much love and blessings, Markus, Anita, Emeline, and Jordan

Kingdom Come

Celebrating the Nations!

This past week, during our Kingdom Come event, God profoundly revealed the beauty inherent in the diversity of the nations within our community. This quarter holds particular significance as we are hosting our Korean-English Discipleship Training School (DTS), which enriches the unique cultural fabric of our campus and extends its blessing to the streets of Lausanne.

Throughout the event, flags representing numerous nations adorned the tables and surrounding areas, drawing the attention of passersby. Many were drawn to the sight of their national flags proudly displayed, while others were inspired by the remarkable unity demonstrated among so many different cultures coming together.

One woman was moved to tears as she witnessed young people from a multitude of nations, each with diverse backgrounds and talents, worshipping and dancing in harmony. She shared how her daughter had been struggling with issues of identity and insecurity. Witnessing this group of young people profoundly moved her and gave her hope that, through Jesus, her daughter could have a renewed sense of belonging.

We were privileged to share the Gospel with individuals from Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, the United States, Iran, China, Korea, and numerous other countries. Additionally, we distributed forty-three Bibles in ten different languages.

The powerful work of God was evident throughout this event, and it was made possible through your steadfast support and prayers. We are deeply grateful for your partnership in this ministry.
