God’s Spirit is Moving
“If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11
Hello friend — here is what God is doing among us this month.
Our Heart
God’s Spirit is Moving
On the first page of the Bible, we see God’s Spirit moving over the waters. As a result, God’s will is brought forth into creation. We believe that, in much the same way, God is still moving over our world, nations, and cities today — bringing life out of death, order out of chaos, and abundance out of scarcity.
Today, through the resurrection power of Jesus, He continues His work of bringing heaven and earth together, within us and throughout our world. Until the day when this work is fully realized in the union of the new heaven and the new earth, we pray and labor for glimpses of this life-giving work of the Spirit in our world today.
Across Europe, we believe we are witnessing signs of God doing just that. When our Europe team returned last month, they shared testimonies of more people coming to faith than we have seen on previous European outreaches. Here in Lausanne, we continue to distribute hundreds of Bibles each quarter — we actually ran out at our Kingdom Come event two weeks ago! We have witnessed many people renewed in their relationship with Jesus. Across the continent, thousands are gathering for worship, prayer, and baptisms. God is moving!
This reminds us of Ezekiel’s vision in chapter 37 — a valley of dry bones, as lifeless as the earth described in Genesis 1:2. Then God commanded the prophet to prophesy His breath, His Spirit, over the lifeless bodies, and they came to life. We believe God desires to bring that same awakening across our nation and throughout Europe.

Outreach
“Not yet” — and then yes
During Kingdom Come, I had the opportunity to speak with several people. Interestingly, almost none spoke English, so most of my conversations happened in French. By the end of the event, I was feeling quite tired and was honestly hoping for just one more conversation in English.
Then I noticed a young man standing on the outskirts of the event, quietly watching. I felt prompted to go and speak with him, so I grabbed a friend to come with me. My friend had already tried talking to him earlier — the young man only spoke French. Even though I had very little energy left, I decided to go anyway.
We introduced ourselves — his name is David. I asked if he believed in anything. His response: “Not yet.” What a wonderful opportunity to share! I shared my testimony, coming from an agnostic background myself, and how I encountered Jesus. I shared the Good News — that we can have new life through Jesus, a relationship with the Father, and our sins forgiven, but that this depends on our choice.
He pondered this invitation for a moment and then said that maybe he would give his sins to Jesus on his bed later that evening. Of course I encouraged him to do so. Then he asked if someone could pray with him, which I gladly agreed to. But just before I started to pray, he asked if he could give his sins to Jesus right in that moment. After I encouraged him to simply speak to Jesus, he prayed:
“Jesus, I want to give you my sins. Would you give me a new life!”
What a simple yet powerful prayer! I rejoiced that he would want to say yes to Jesus. We got him connected with a local believer who agreed to help David find a church. Unfortunately, we couldn’t hand him a Bible that evening since we had given all the Bibles away during the event! Still, we encouraged him to get one and to start reading to know Jesus more. It was wonderful to see how God touched David’s heart — and how even at the end of the event, He was still working mightily, saving people.
