The Mediterranean Leadership Development Program is more than a course — it’s a transformational journey designed for followers of Jesus who are ready to grow deeper in leadership, mission, and cross-cultural ministry.

Created for those who have completed a Discipleship Training School (DTS), the MLDP is designed to help you move from foundational discipleship into intentional leadership development and long-term missions engagement. Through immersive training, practical ministry experience, mentoring, and real field assignments, you will be equipped to serve effectively in unreached and low-access nations throughout the Mediterranean region and beyond.

This program combines spiritual formation, leadership training, language learning, and hands-on ministry in a multicultural environment — helping you grow not only in skill, but in character, maturity, and dependence on God.

Program Structure and Phases 

Phase 1 - MLDP Core 

Formation • Leadership • Cross-Cultural Preparation

The first three months of the MLDP focus on intentional personal growth and leadership development within a strong missional community.

Through teaching, mentoring, practical ministry, and daily life together, you will deepen your relationship with God, strengthen your character, and develop practical leadership skills needed for ministry in cross-cultural contexts.

This phase is designed to challenge and stretch you spiritually, emotionally, and practically while creating a strong foundation for long-term missions.

• Biblical and leadership teaching
• Cross-cultural ministry training
• Language learning
• Local outreach and ministry opportunities
• Leadership projects and assignments
• Team-building and community life
• Personal mentoring and discipleship
• Spiritual formation and character development

Phase 2 MLDP Field Assignment

Practice • Pioneer • Lead

The second phase takes you deeper into real ministry experience across the region.

Over six months, you will apply the leadership principles and practical skills gained during the MLDP Core while serving in active ministry environments. This phase is designed to help you grow in responsibility, initiative, and long-term mission sustainability.

Participants may be involved in staffing schools, serving in local ministries, supporting pioneering initiatives, mentoring younger students, or helping launch new outreach opportunities in strategic locations.

Rather than simply learning about leadership, you will actively practice it in real-life ministry settings alongside experienced leaders and multicultural teams.
