Course Objective
Immerse yourself in the School of Biblical Studies (SBS) at YWAM Lausanne - a life-changing journey through all 66 books of the Bible. Over 9 months, you’ll delve deep into Scripture and learn useful Biblical study tools, uncovering timeless truths and building a solid foundation for your faith. You will be guided through the text by incredible teachers and immerse yourself in the Bible as you learn to observe, interpret, and apply every book in the Bible. You will not only know God’s word, but it will be deeply embedded in your mind and heart. You will engage with the Word in a vibrant community, equipping yourself to know God through his word and find yourself in His story.

This is a bilingual school offered in Korean and English. This multicultural classroom deepens our discussion around the word and roots the learning in a missional context.

Lecture Phase

An incredible 9 months of teaching on each one of the 66 books of the Bible. During this time, you will also have the opportunity to work, study, live, and journey through the Bible with a fantastic community of fellow students.
Inductive Study
You will learn the Inductive Bible Study Method, the prime method of Bible interpretation which is composed of 5 steps: Prayer, Bible Reading, Observation, Interpretation, & Application.
Application
Application is the most important part of SBS studies. This is a time to not simply grow in knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures but to be transformed by the Word by letting it move from the head to the heart. In SBS, the desire is to study not just for knowledge but for life transformation.

Outreach Phase
At YWAM Lausanne the SBS concludes with an optional 2-month outreach that provides an opportunity for you to go to the nations and share the life-changing truths learned and experienced during the lecture phase. The outreach will provide many different opportunities to put what you have learned into practice, teaching the Bible through the inductive method and even by preaching to church congregations.
