What is the Paul Seminar?

The Paul Seminar is a blended learning experience designed to immerse you in Paul's journey to Christlikeness. Through personal study, communal worship, intentional discussion, and hands-on application, you will gain new insights into Paul's letters and the Book of Acts—discovering how his life "in Christ" was never meant to be a solo venture but walked out together in community.

Structure & Phases

1. Phase One (Pre-Intensive Work)

Complete 12–13 hours of study between June 30 and July 11. You will:

  • Read Paul: A Biography by N.T. Wright
  • Create an initial outline of Paul's life, highlighting key turning points
  • Reflect on specific Pauline passages that will be provided

2. Phase Two (Onsite Intensive: July 15–25)

Dive into a 10-day intensive filled with worship, prayer, Scripture reading, table fellowship, silence, and group discussion. Together, we'll explore selections from Paul's letters and the Book of Acts—seeking to embrace Paul's "In Christ" life. Expect both corporate and individual spiritual practices that bring the Scriptures to life.

Note: Sunday, July 20 will be a dedicated Sabbath day.

3. Phase Three (Post-Intensive Assignment)

After the onsite seminar, you will have an additional 12–13 hours of personal reflection and practical application. A final assignment, due August 8, will give you time to integrate your learnings into your everyday life and ministry.

Prerequisites

  • DTS (Discipleship Training School)
  • A basic Bible Course (DBS, SBS, BCC, or equivalent)
  • Read Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer
  • Recommended: At least two years of experience discipling others

If you meet these prerequisites and are eager to grow deeper in understanding Paul's life and letters—and how they can transform your own walk with God—we welcome you to apply.

Why Join the Paul Seminar?

  • Grow Spiritually: Develop a richer understanding of the New Testament by looking closely at Paul's personal journey of faith.
  • Community Experience: Engage with other believers who share your passion for the Word, fostering relationships that spark ongoing discipleship and support.
  • Practical Application: Move beyond theory and into practice through communal worship, prayer, and reflection times that allow you to live out what you learn.
