The Heart of Outreach

Outreach is at the heart of YWAM Lausanne’s mission, and the heart of outreach is sharing and reflecting Christ in the world. Outreach is where learning meets action, an opportunity to apply the principles and teaching from your training in real-world contexts. During outreach, you’ll step into diverse communities, often cross-cultural, to serve, share the love of Christ, and make a tangible difference.

Outreach is about living out your faith and being a vessel of hope and transformation in the world. It involves building relationships, performing practical acts of service, and evangelising. It is a time of growth, discovery, and profound impact—both for those you serve and for yourself.

Outreaches

Outreach isn’t just about distant adventures—it’s about reaching the world with God’s love, starting with the people right in front of us. Whether you feel called to your neighbour or the nations, we have opportunities for you to bring the Kingdom of God to the world in many different ways and places.

North Africa Outreach: If God has placed Africa on your heart, join us as we build relationships and impact communities across North Africa.
Local Outreach in Lausanne: Do you love Lausanne as much as we do? Get involved in our weekly outreaches or our regular Kingdom Come events, and see God move powerfully in our City.
Course-Integrated Outreach: Bring YWAM Lausanne classroom learning to life and apply it to the outreach opportunities built into many of our courses.

Local Outreach

We show and share the love of Christ through Our Local Outreach activities in Lausanne, making connections through friendship, prayer, conversation and practical help for people’s needs like language training, clothing and food.

Outreach North Africa (OUTNA)

The OUTNA is a month-long outreach based at our community development centre based in North Africa. The outreach includes a community development workshop aimed at encouraging refugees in this region. Other elements of the outreach include sharing the Gospel with people of other faiths and ministering to the local church. Participants can join for two weeks or the whole month.
